At ProsperUs Detroit, we are dedicated to empowering Black and Brown entrepreneurs in Detroit, Hamtramck, Highland Park, and Inkster. Our mission is deeply rooted in the recognition that systemic barriers still exist, yet the tenacity and determination of our community to thrive remain unwavering. We honor this spirit by providing the resources, capital, and opportunities that our entrepreneurs need to succeed.
The significance of Juneteenth extends beyond celebration; it is a call to action. Supporting Black businesses is a vital step toward rectifying historical economic injustices and building a future where Black wealth and well-being are prioritized. At ProsperUs, we are proud to be part of this mission by deploying over $5 million in lending capital to Black entrepreneurs. Our efforts have a tangible impact, with 90% of recipients achieving greater financial independence and 40% enhancing their children’s opportunities. This Juneteenth, we encourage everyone to consciously support Black-owned businesses, contributing to the growth and sustainability of our communities.
